Blackwing Colors are our favorite pencils for coloring Field Notes’ Spring 2023 “Streetscapes” Edition… or just about any illustration project.

The colored cores are smooth and lay down pigment nicely for filling in the Streetscapes pages, but I wish the wood was a bit softer for sharpening—several points snapped right off. They're decent for detail work, though nothing that blows me away.
